CURRENT OBSESSION : how to pull off the overalls look without looking like a house painter or BDSM lover

I can't stop looking or searching for the perfect pair of overalls. Obviously, the 3.1 Phillip Lim are the perfect incarnation of everything I've ever wanted. And obviously, they are way out of my price range. If you don't have a boyfriend working in finance busting your ass to save some cash like me, i strongly recommend you get your credit card and make an investment in those. You can find them here

For anyone else that will dare trying this trend, I've also made my little research for you. A great way to not spend to much is to find yourself a vintage pair. You probably won't find leather ones but jeans ones you will cut and rip will make a killer look !! For those ones who are not patient enough like me to vintage shop, Nasty Gall offers this one for a reasonable price. Then again, not leather, but its a great fit. For my vegan friends, ASOS offered this faux-leather dungarees that are pretty dope, not gonna lie.

As for how to wear them, i strongly recommend a loose sweater, preferably white, for the winter. Once the sunny days are upon us, a cropped top with stilettos will create a killer look ! Always roll them up at  the bottom to accentuate the shoes. Treat your overalls like they are normal pants, even leave the panel detached if you are into that !

where do i shop - boxing day edition

So, people. Boxing day was yesterday. Call me crazy but anyone who threw themselves in stores and made lines freezing outside are just MENTAL. For working in retail for the past 5 years, i tend to now consider myself an organized shopper and pretty good at recognizing a good deal.  In most store, you will find the crap merchandise that people didn't look at while doing their christmas shopping. That merchandise has been there all season, which is a few months....if no one picked it up until then, ask yourself why.
Boxing day is good for electronics, winter boots and coats. period.

Now, what my personal trick is ONLINE BOXING DAY. now were talking, much more choice and you can spot the items you like before and keep an eye on them. NO LINES, NO HASSEL.
My second trick is to go the 23-24th. Some stores will already be marked down so they don't all have to do it the morning of the 26th.
As for my last and favourite part, JUST GO TO NYC ! there is so many stores and merchandise, most of it is still left and by the 29-30th, they put additional discounts.
You'll thank me next year.

where do i shop - BLACK FRIDAY EDITION

I think we can all agree this is pre-boxing day excitement people. Being the second biggest sale day after boxing day, black friday is happening everywhere and is just so worth it for to buy christmas gift (N.B. : self given present also count as that). Ive made here a little list of what i believe is the hottest spots to hit in Montreal tomorrow and through the weekend to get the best deals if your not lucky enough to run away to NY for the weekend.

working at that store, i know whats happening. From thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th we are hosting our seasonal charity event. By donating 20$ to Ronald McDonalds children's foundation, you will obtain 25% off on most of the store. THIS INCLUDES BALMAIN, ISABEL MARANT, MIU MIU.... watch out for the credit card damage !!

2. Holt Renfrew
very good pre-sale deals, specially on shoes which has a great variety of designers at 40%. If you want classic everyday manolos, just run.
Always great to check out their windows too which are always adorable.
Its very good to know that they are open 8am to 9pm so you have aaaaall day to stop by. No excuse !!

Canadian top notch online retailer is known for its amazing sales. For working there also, i can tell you.... the price points are gonna be pretty worthy ! Sales is ON RIGHT NOW !

4. Cahier d'exercices
If you wanna get your paws on Rick Owens, Marni and possibly Celine from 25 to 50% off, its a must stop in the old port.  While you're in the old port, check out Denis Gagnon or Michel Brisson for Monsieur, you could be surprised !

5. Editorial Boutique
My good friends at Editorial know wassup. Also great buys and most important GREAT DEALS. I'm sure their version of black friday will be a complete must. they are great for their 3 for 1 deals, 50% shoes or even 20$ racks. gotta get there early !
